Mr. Carl Smith, Genealogy
Department Director of the
Montgomery County Library
System, will speak about the
library’s’ new Genealogy
Preservation Pad. What Is It? The Preservation Pad is a service to help individuals convert their print, photographic, and analog media into digital format, thus helping them preserve and share previous family memories and moments for generations to come. Carl will explain how the Preservation Pad is set up into four distinct stations with state of the art equipment to help in this process.
The preservation pad is only available at the Genealogy & Local History Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Central Library.
At this meeting, Carl will walk us thru the 4 stations with demonstrations of how the system works.
